Show Opening September 27 in LA

Tomorrow night will be the opening night/auction of a photography project called Silverado Life, featuring 50 photographs captured by residents of Silverado Senior Living, facilities which specializes in dementia care. A group of 5 JTA Photo Agency photographers did hands on mentoring of during the photos shoots, and I personally curated and printed the show with the support and help of Canon. The proceeds from the event goes directly to the Alzheimer's Association and has special meaning to me as I lost my father to the disease. A huge shout out for our team of talented photographers who graciously volunteered their time and expertise: Cheryl HimmelsteinBrian Lowe, Mark Savage, Ted Soqui, and Dylan Armon-Mattingly. Please click on the photographers names to view their websites. Thanks

Wayward Sea Lion in Ballona Creek

Earlier this evening I saw a California sea lion that had swum inland on Ballona Creek about 3.5 miles from the ocean. People riding along the bike path were gathered watching the sea lion maneuvering in the shallow water still heading upstream. Reports are that LAPD, LAFD and Marine Animal Rescue are on the case.
