Rain on Oscars Parade?

*Update-Heavy rain is forecast for Sunday morning, followed by occasional showers in the afternoon. Red Carpet arrivals are from 3-5 PM.
With possible showers in the forecast for this Sunday, the Academy Awards organizers are setting up the arrivals red carpet area with a canopy to shield the celebrities from the elements. Bad news for aerial views of the red carpet this year.

BCAM Opens at LACMA


The Broad Contemporary Art Musem is a new addition to the Los Angeles County Museum of Art , and the centerpiece of an ambitious expansion and renovation of LACMA. Lo Angeles Eli Broad and his wife Edythe donated $60 million and contributed over 160 pieces from their private collection. Over the last 20 years, LA has become a major player in the art world with MOCA, The Getty Center, LACMA leading the way.

Obama and Clinton Debate

Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama toned down their recent hostility last night at the debate, bringing back the possiblility that they may run together on a a historic ticket after the convention this summer.

Arnold Schwarzenegger endorses John McCain

Senator John McCain scored a valuable endorsement from fellow Republican power broker Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger. The California Primary election is next Tuesday so I have been busy with political stories this week. Right now it looks like the race for the Presidency will be McCain vs Barack Obama or Hillary Clinton. Arnold wishes there wasn't a law prohibiting him from running, but if McCain wins don't be surprised to see The Governator receiving a cabinet post.
