Sarah Palin Effigy

So a West Hollywood resident thought it would be a good idea to decorate his house for Halloween by putting up an effigy of VP candidate Sarah Palin. This week there was an uproar leading the WeHo resident to take down the controversial decoration. The effigy hung there for 3 weeks before getting publicized this week by media outlets, and now even MSNBC television host Keith Olbermann chimed in on Monday to dub the display's creator, Chad Michael Morrisette, 28, "today's worst person in the world". He got his 15 minutes of fame.

Beckham and LA Galaxy Season Ends

David Beckham and The Los Angeles Galaxy ended a very disappointing season today with a 2-2 tie against FC Dallas. More importantly, they did not qualify for the MLS playoffs for the third straight year. So far Beckham's American soccer experience has been anything but stellar.Becks will be playing for AC Milan in Italy on loan until next MLS season, and despite some of .the rumors to the contrary, he is not planning on leaving the LA Galaxy permanently.
Landon Donovan did score his league leading 20th goal of the year, but he will probably leaving the Galaxy to go play in Europe next season.

Trashed for a Year

Dave Chameides hasn't taken out the trash in almost a year, he is saving all his "trash" in the basement of his home in Los Angeles for one entire year. I had an assignment to photograph David with the collection, and I really was surprised that there wasn't more stuff down there. He explained that it starts at the purchase point, and he really makes an effort to keep the potential waste to a minimum. He is keeping a BLOG of the year long project. Here is a link to the storyDavid is definitely doing his part for the environment , he also converted his car to run on bio-fuel, inspiring stuff!

Close Call

A photographer was shooting photos of the Sesnon fire from the top of a ridge, when the flames roared up a little faster than he expected. I saw him turn around, start walking slowly, then the flames licked over the top and he ducked down and started to run. He escaped safely. The crowd of people I was standing with all gasped. Have to be careful out there.
